RevolutionUC is a student hackathon in which we invite students from across the midwest to partake in a weekend of code, community, and self-improvement. You don't have to attend the University of Cincinnati and you don't have to be a computer science major or engineering student. We're looking for people who share our passion to do awesome things with technology.

Eligibility
RevolutionUC is open to all college and high school students. Before any hacking begins we require you to sign a waiver, which will be emailed to all registered participants prior to the hackathon. If you are under 18 you will need a parent or legal guardian to sign the waiver.

Requirements
- Be prepared to present your hack to multiple judges in four minutes
- Demo the project you've been working on for the past 24 hours
- Be proud of what you've worked on!
- Tell us what all you've learned while hacking (in only four minutes!)
- Checkout the judging criteria (Projects are judged based on creativity, learning, and functionality)
- Tell us if you've used an opt-in or sponsor prize category
- Be sure to tell us if you've used any of the MLH sponsored hardware for you hack
Make sure to submit your project by 1:30 pm April 9th, your project will remain editable until 2:30pm.
Submissions open as soon as hacking starts, at 2:30 pm on April 8th, and end when hacking ends, at 2:30 pm on April 9th. You must submit before 1:00 pm on April 9th in order to be eligible for judging. You can and are encouraged to continue working on your project until hacking ends (2:30 pm on April 9th).
You may use your own laptop for your presentation. Projects will be evaluated in an exposition style by different judges who will visit your group if you submit your project. The top teams will present their project during the closing ceremonies.
Finalists will be presenting at 4:30 pm on April 9th when the Awards/Closing Ceremony begins in Old Chem 525.
Finalists will have access to a mini-display port, VGA hookups, an HDMI cable, a computer with a web browser, and a document camera for their presentations. These presentations will determine the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place projects.
In addition to overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, we also offer sponsor prizes and category prizes that will be judged separately.

First Place
The overall winner of the competition will receive a
Parrot Bebop 2 + Black Skycontroller (drone). Each person in the winning team (up to 4 people) will receive drones. There will also be a first place medal and the winning team will win a day with the Scripps CTO.
Second Place
The team that places second will receive Bose Noise Canceling Headphones. Each person on the team (up to 4 people) will receive headphones. There will also be a second placemedal
Third Place
The team that places third overall will receive a Google Home. Each person on the team (up to 4 people) will receive a Google Home. There will also be a third place medal.
Most Popular
The most popular hack will be awarded to the team with the most votes on Devpost. Each person on the team (up to 4 people) will receive a Fitbit Charge.
High School Hack
Any team of only high school students is eligible for this prize. Each member of the team (up to 4 people) with the best hack will receive a Raspberry Pi Kit.
Best UI
The team with the best User Interface presented during judging will receive Bluetooth speaker. Each person on the team (up to 4 people) will receive a speaker.
